The Educational Leadership Conference of the
Education Section of the APTA
is going to be held in San Antonio from October 1-3, 2010.
This course was
formerly known as the National Clinical Education Conference
and this is the
first time that it will be held in TEXAS!!
The theme of this conference will be Evidence Based Practice
in Education
and will have programming that will address all aspects of
education:
students in the classroom, students in the clinic,
residents, patients,
consumers, etc. There will be scientific platform
presentations as well.

PLATFORM SUBMISSION BELOW. Please consider submitting for
both areas!
Please plan to join the Education Section and the Texas
Consortium as they
welcome colleagues from all over the country to share best
practices in all
areas of education. We will be sending out more information
as it becomes
available.
CALL FOR CONFERENCE PROGRAMMING: PROGRAMMING
SUBMISSION
Conference abstracts for programming presentations are now
being accepted
for the Educational Leadership Conference (ELC): National
Clinical Education
Conference to be held October 1-3, 2010 in San Antonio, TX.
The Education
Section Clinical Education Special Interest Group (CESIG)
and The Texas
Consortium for Physical Therapy Clinical Education, Inc (The
Consortium)
will be working together to secure conference content which
will primarily
focus on Evidence Based Practice in Academic and Clinical
Education. The
ELC: National Clinical Education Conference is a conference
for academic and
clinical educators and all research and programming content
will focus on
clinical education topics.
Please submit programming abstracts in 2 forms: 1) an
abstract with all
author identification omitted, and 2) an abstract with all
authors listed,
complete with school and/or clinical facility included and
contact
information. BOTH abstracts should include the following:
Session Title,
session goals and objectives, session description, session
outline and
timeline, session teaching and evaluation methods. Standard
AV set will be
LCD projector and screen. Presenters will be expected to
supply own laptop
or any other media needs for the presentation. The deadline
for submission
is Friday April 9, 2010. After all submissions have been
evaluated,
notification emails will be sent to the individual who
submitted the
abstract, by Friday May 14, 2010.
